A tear begs to fall
from the corner of my eye,
daredevil masked
with soft coats of salt,
temptingly peering over my lashes
with a curiosity beseeching
the plunge,
stretching it's limbs in a dance
before the waterfall,
diving in perfect form
through somersaults, come waves
as each tear lands
in place,
a pirouette
upon which you gaze.
