My mind climbs out of bed,

But my feet want to stay.

I want to talk to you,

But don't know what to say.

Should I eat some food,

Or make myself fast?

Try to exercise constantly,

Even though it won't last.

Work on my essay,

Or stare into space?

Pretend to be happy,

While tears run down my face.

Decide to go out,

But then feel too low.

Hold me in your arms,

Until I tell you to go.

Will I remain,

Trapped in this forever?

If I could stop,

Would you love me, or never?

I try and I fail,

No promise will keep.

Tortured by thoughts,

Until relief comes in sleep.
