The sun shined down on top of the highest building, keeping imparted a drowsy warmth to the blue shoes back that she was thoroughly enjoying.

Coming up on a certain scurry, a little red shoe becomes apparent.

"What brings you here?" The blue shoe asked. "Haven’t you all the riches in the world?"

"I just wanted to see my friend that’s all," the red shoe said.

"Though on second thought, tell me what defines a man, his courage, his strength, his beauty, his riches, or is it something else?" The red shoe asked.

"So you’ve come to riddle me with your old cryptic ways, I see," the blue shoe took a step forward.

"No, I didn’t come all this way to riddle you with something, that wouldn’t be important," the red shoe said sternly.

"I’ve been thinking this for a long time . . ." the red shoe paused, then replied, "The jewel does not define the man, the man defines the jewel."

The blue shoe walked away and looked up at the sky, "What a pondering lot we are."
