This was written as a love poem from a man's point of view. Don't know if I succeeded.

A cigarette in the ashtray

Ice cubes in the whiskey

My arm around her shoulders

My thigh warm against hers

My love, my love

In the seat next to me

Her hair a cloud

Her perfume smoke

My tender love for her

Grown like a flower

With time

With tears

Her face, the moon

Her eyes, stars

To light every night

That ever was

To light this night

I hope will never end.
