Missing you

We've been apart a little while,

I wish I could return your smile.

In my heart I question why

there was no time to say good-bye.

Every day I start anew

with the pain of missing you.

I search my soul

to find a hole.

The emptiness I feel inside

I can no longer hide.

I go to sleep to dream

the only haven for me it seams.

I pray to God each passing day

that in his memory you will stay

until that bright sunny day

you and I again will play.

I close my eyes to see you there

I'll look to find you everywhere.

In my heart I know its true

I keep my memories of you.

Each day I will write

to keep my sight set right.

If in easing the pain of loosing you

then with these words I write are true

I know this will bring me back to you

where our love can be renewed.

With this in mind I hold you near

knowing this systems end will soon be here.
