This piece was originally a post i wrote for my best friend on her birthday i've only had the heart now to delete it and replace it with some thing new.

Two Friends Part Ways

We are no longer the people we used to be,

The world swooped us off our feet,

And we went in different directions.

We may no longer be friends,

We may no longer be enemies,

Just two stranger passing in the streets,

Who share some memories.

You were like family, A sister to me.

A soul of a sister, a heart of a friend,

Those times still seem hard to me.

We lost all our friendship,

We lost all our love,

We lost the family we had in each other.

You will always be my first best friend,

The person who always stuck by me.

I miss you in ways only best friends could know,

We used to share everything,

But we've not said a single word.

We didn't end up where we thought we'd be,

But you could always have a friend in me.

Hi thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my work. I found losing friends is more heart breaking than a relationship ending. Losing a friend just hits ten times more and it's often sad. We can look back on the memories and think about the good times but unfortunately situations happen, people change/ grow apart. Life becomes between them making it hard but those memories will forever be treasured. ~Anniebirnie~
