"Tell her bro!" My best friend Anthony said frustratedly.

"I told you, I decided I can't do it. It will mess up everything." I replied to him.

"Then why do you keep obsessing over her. Luke Your being such an idiot. You need to tell her, your going crazy. The outcome won't be bad I promise you. Para thinks the same thing." I sighed contemplating his words, as he cleaned the sweat off his face and bare chest with his small black towel. He has just finish performing the last song.

I can't keep looking at her anymore with out thinking about how badly I want her. My best friend, who I'm madly in love with. I need her to be mine. I turned to look at her. there she is, on the platform, behind the occupied seats that lay in front of the stage. She's instructing the dancers on stage, by dancing to her choreography, they look to her if they forget the next step. She's the lead dancer in our modern dance crew. Rightfully earned, she's so talented. Always the star of the show. She dances more passionately than anyone I have ever seen, and when we dance together it's unexplainably empowering. She leads me, with giving me the allusion that I am leading her, giving me more self confidence then anyone I know. And when she falls from a lift into my arms, she fits so perfectly.

She has that cute bleached blonde, bob hair cut, that falls in the most adorable way, framing her chin perfectly. I watched Her muscular body, bend perfectly to the music. The end of the song is approaching. It's her favourite song (crave you by flight facilities, dubstep remix). I can't help but wish that when she dances to this song she is thinking about me. I need to tell her. I can't do this any longer. I shook my head slightly to my thoughts and walked down the steps from the corner of the stage to where she is. The song ended, and she began to walk off the centre of the platform to where Para was. Her best friend and Anthony's girlfriend.

"Emily!" I called to her. She turned her head and smiled that gorgeous smile. I waved my hand instructing her to come to me.

"I'll be over in a minute."  She quickly drank from her bottle of water that Para had handed to her, then slowly ran over to me. "What's up?"

"You didn't properly say hi to me today." I gave her a flirty grin, looking down on her, me being a full head and a half taller.

"What do you mean?" She gave me a confused smile, as her fingeres played with the platinum star neckless I bought her last year, she never takes it off. The corners of my mouth started to turn upwards at that thought, giving me some reassurance. Redirecting my thoughts, needing to get on with this, I tapped my cheek suggesting a kiss.

"Your funny." She giggled and went to kiss my cheek, when I grabbed her chin and kissed her on the lips. Hard. Savouring her softness. Her lips, another thing about her that fits perfectly to me. But this wasn't how I would have hoped our first kiss to be, she isnt kissing me back, but I held her lips to mine regardless. Continuing to savour them for the first time. After another moment, she still wasn't pulling back, but also not replying, so I reluctantly let her go.

"What was that?" She asked I fully opened my eyes to her starring at my lips, with wide eyes of surprise. Rejection... How did I manage to get my hopes up.

"That was a kiss, what's the big deal? you get kissed a lot." Shake it off pretend it was nothing! I thought to myself.

"Yea maybe I do, but never by you that way. Why did you just kiss me?" She asked almost seeming hopeful. Or maybe that's just me hoping that she is. She pulled her eyes away from  my lips and looked into my eyes. Her silvery light grey eyes, like glistening stars stollen from the night sky. Every thing about her is like a star. God can she just please be my star?

"I just felt like it I guess." Was all I could think to say. I kept a nonchalant smile on my face to hide my utter disappointment.

"Lucas please don't mess with me." She suddenly started to get really up set, and I could no longer force a smile.

"How am I messing with you?" I asked in return. She took a deep breath when a tear drop then fell from her right eye, making her eye glisten more than it already does. Why is she crying?!

"What's wrong?" I asked not hiding my worry, feeling a confused expression flood my face.

"Nothing." She pulled her gaze from mine. I need to just tell her! Now that I've kissed her I can't stop myself from doing it again. I brought my right index finger up to her cheek and whipped the lingering tear away before cupping her face.

"Emily, I love you." She just rolled her eyes, pulling my hand off her cheek.

"Yea, yea, I love you too." She doesn't understand. We say it all the time to each other, as best friends do. She then turned and began to walk away.

"No... Emily..." I grabbed her waist turning her around and pulling her back, then held her face in both my hands, forcing her to look at me, "I'm IN love with you."

".... What?"

"I said I'm In love with you... I know we are best friends but... would you maybe want to try being my girlfriend?" I spat the words out as fast I could, refusing to stutter. She said nothing, just looked up at me, wide eyed. It's done. I'm so stupid. I let go of her pale flawless face, this time I turned to walk away.

She then grasped my wrist before I could make any distance from her. I turned around when she jumped on me. Her legs hugging my torso and tangling her fingers in the back of my hair. I held on to her waist, not that she needed support though, I lift her all the time. She looked at me for a minute, before planting my lips with a kiss. I kissed her back of course, but then she broke it off a moment later, and whispered against my lips "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend. Thought you'd never ask."

(So to all you guys out there that are in a similar situation, how about you let your balls drop? Cause when you don't, you miss out, and you can't expect to be able to take her when she's taken. Ask yourself, what are you waiting for?)
