My Christmas Story

It's Christmas here in the East.
I walk outside in my old jeans and a tanktop I found in my closet.
It's almost 80 degrees and it feels great.
The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and it's one of the happiest days of the year.

We open presents at home first...
I get exactly what I asked for
Then we go down the street to grandma's house
And we laugh because she's still in her PJs.
We open gifts here too...
She always knows what to get.

Now I must wait for the rest of the family to show
So we can all exchange gifts as well.
Then I must wait another long year...
For this wonderful feeling to come back to me.
