Anthony J. Piccione
Fearful Exposition
When I see the world surrounding me,
I see a great amount of fear,
Escalating a sense of paranoia.
Watching the reporters inform the public,
I see nothing but instability and distress,
Exposing weakness in our civilization.
Seeing stories told on the screen,
I merely see that which the population desires to see,
Sacrificing vision in favor of vogue.
Amidst the more than sufficient number of broadcasts,
Nothing more than exposition choked with propaganda
Intended to deceive the rank and file.
Witnessing the world consume it,
I see an ominous and discordant future
Rooted from a past teeming with despair.
