today i am a caricature of myself
a simpleton with idiosynchracies
that is trying to drive the world alone
on my principles and my deeds.
i stumble every two steps
because reality is in my face
reminding me that i am actually a dreamer
full of dreams that aren't in sleep.
a lunatic running through a maze
self-created monumentally
keeling over in the shock of loss
of a victory never had.
the simpleton thought he had company
but those were only the voices in his head
and when his head splits wide open
a silly little grin is the final glory
of a bloody fate dripping away.
