surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

the fuchsia tinted flowers

with black and yellows humming around

the clearest turquoise sky i’ve ever seen

emerald grasses and dutch blue tiles

surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

young innocents screaming

high on life and slip-and-slides

sprinklers squirting cool liquid

my favorite song blasting

surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

slippery sunscreen that smells like coconut

cool water from the pool on a hot summer day

grass under bare feet

strawberry daquiris on your tongue

surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

fairground greasy fried dough

watermelon juice

barbeque chicken

grilled to perfection

surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

the scent of freshly mown grass

or sticky red popsicles

hamburgers sizzling

beach waves crashing

surrounded by beauty

but cant feel a thing

surrounded by beauty

but can't feel a thing.
