All around me is dark,

I'm awake, and don't know where I am.

My memories, eluding me.

An Egyptian Queen,

I cannot be.

The space around me is small,

I'm awake, and don't know where I am.

Panic sets in, I am afraid

I lay in my sarcophagus,

My lungs feeling airless.

My hands press against the walls in which I'm entrapped,

I'm awake, and I feel cold.

My breaths shortening, I'm losing air.

Everything goes blank,

And I am aware.

My thoughts are empty.

I'm asleep, and at peace.

I no longer struggle, nor do I strive.

I'm aware,

And I'm not alive.
