This poem is supposed to be about the character and their reflection in a mirror. I just hope that I portrayed that well enough… In this poem, the character is questioning their own appearance… I just hope that you enjoy and if you don't mind maybe leave a few comments and read some of my others. :D Thank-you!

All I see is distortion upon my mirrored complexion

Looking at myself now, I ask you

I am crying to you, and without a word, you cry back

The support I look for, is what you lack

But still, here you are

Trying to look past those deep rooted scars

I look you in the face

The lines of my scars, with your finger, you trace

You look me over, up and down, with your eyes

You are not pleased, and it’s no surprise

I haven’t much to offer with my crooked smile and fatty thighs

Angry now, I throw my fist at you

The glass shatters, and you’re gone

I’m left alone

With nothing to reflect upon

The smile upon my face is absent

I grab the razor and shut the door

And I am crying more than ever before

As tears stream from my eyes

I cut deep into my thighs

Mercy for me, is never shown

This pain is all I've ever known
