I passed through that dusty street yet again, which is a short cut route to my office. The entire area looks better, except this cross road. All the small vehicles are in a hurry and take the same route.

Hawkers are selling fruits and veggies. A mobile food stall is little away from it. People are eating from the stall throwing the finished stuff into the bin. The mosquitoes and the houseflies are at all liberty and are taking  their bit from each one of it. Autos are parked haphazardly.
Obscene writings and torn posters of movies on the walls. A railway bridge next to it. Thrown litter from the passengers out of the train is all over the place. An apartment under construction right opposite to that street is adding extra commotion to that erratic place. The people residing here lack basic hygiene and mannerisms.

Men and women in small shacks with clumsy clothes,  disturbed air and pained atmosphere. Yet another death in that house. Then a young girl who died of tuberculosis and now her mother. All the whining filled the atmosphere with dread.

What could be the reason for that young girl’s death ? The disease killed her while it could have been treated and cured. Lack of knowledge was the reason. Life is a hell for these people. They are the neglected class who care little about themselves, their future or about their family. The idea of living is survival. A bare survival, I can say. They neither have any ambitions nor want to create their own identity. They work hard than all of us only to live a grim life.

These people belong to the below poverty line. The can barely earn a meal a day. The kids are not sent to school. They are badly brought up with parents not around. The speech  and behavior says it all. Tomorrow these people can do anything for food, clothes and shelter posing great threat to the society.

These people need to be loved. They need to know how important they are just like the others. Special respect has to be shown .Each one of them has to be taught, praised, inspired and made bright. We should show them how they are capable of realizing their dreams without resorting to bad habits.

Awareness on health education mannerisms has to be created . Employment to all with proper salary good enough to take care of themselves has to be provided.

I just happened to see this street. There are many such streets with more people  suffering without knowing that they are. They too live but in harsh conditions, while the elite class hardly care. A little contribution and investment on them to improve and educate can make wonders . The output could be slow but processing shall happen.

The government brings in a lot of relaxations through their great ideas which are hardly governed or monitored. A strict vigilance on these issues and the people concerned will make them be on track and perform their duties in turn helping the really deprived class some growth which would contribute in a different way altogether to the society.

We all must give it  a serious thought. Lets invoke within ourselves a sense of responsibility towards our neglected fellow beings. Let’s  contribute some portion of our time from our life and some money from our savings for truly something better and wonderful.
