Flowers bloom across the field,

Reaching with colorful fingers to grasp the earth.

Bowing to the sunshine, their mother and master,

Clinging to the soil, their father and friend.

Here, they sit and wait, letting their silk petals wave in the breeze.

Wanting to fill the minds of the young and old alike.

With the beauty and power that nature wields,

With the love and joy that it provides.

Bees and butterflies swoop around them,

Spreading golden flakes of pollen to each.

So they might have the chance to reproduce,

To carry on their kind,

In hopes of moving their hues across the world.

To places like the city where smog fills the air,

A place where soil is scarce,

And where people fail to experience the beauty of nature,

Because all the flowers want is a chance for all of earth’s people to witness their love.
