Life re-wired

A man is tied by all four limbs to a wooden frame, held upright

The wires strain with frustration

They sag with pain

They tighten and crinkle with anger

They quiver in times of danger

They are comfortable when the man feels free

And excruciating as he is held down by chains.

They drip in the storms of life

And reek in times of embarrassment.

In times of stress the wires begin to break,

And shatter if the man becomes unloved.
