“Do you like me?” you ask.
I nod, I do.almost too much to bear,
but you don’t know that.
You smile , “like a friend, right?”
I can’t help it.
I blush and look down at my
“ A bit more than that” I say.
“Oh!” you say, “like a sister then!”
I study the way your eyes are shining.
Should I go on?
I have to, I can’t help myself.
“Maybe more” I breath.
The way you look at me
makes the butterflies in my stomach
start again.
“Then tell me as what, please”
you demand in that soft way
you have.
I can’t refuse.
I lift my eyes back
up to yours.
I’m afraid to say the next words.
You take my hand
as I whisper,
“Like a girlfriend.”
Suddenly your lips
are colliding with mine.
You pull me close
and whisper in my ear,
“Then I like you too”
