I cannot remember your face.

Nor your soft touch.

To forget a mother’s touch is bad.

To forget what she looks like terrifies me.

I have no brother or sister.

I am an only child.

With a father to be frightened of.

I want to see you mother.

I want to remember your touch,

Face and love.

I want to help you forget the things father has done.

Even though we are so far.

You are still.

Forever more.

My mother.
