I am homeschooled. Bullied because I am smart. I am often lonely when I am not with my friends. Yes I am very lonely.

As I walk around my brother’s college, I got tired from playing sports. Some people walked up to me and asked some questions.

Like: what’s your name? How old are you? What school do you go to?

There, when they asked “What school do you go to?” I hesitate then said, “I’m homeschooled.”

Even though they said cool, I could see that in their eyes they are both jealous and very much upset.

We talked for a while and I notice that one of the guys didn’t spoke a single word. He just nods or shakes his head whenever he is asked a question or something else.

As we depart, I notice that the boy who didn’t speak kept looking at me. He looked at me until his friends yelled out for him.

The next day I come back to the college to play sports with my brother again.

Taking an hour break, I notice the guys I met yesterday come up this time the silent boy didn’t come with them.

Their impressions are far different than before. They look like as if they are out for revenge or something.

I knew I had run, shout, do something. I haven’t gotten a brown belt let alone a black belt.

I am a pretty fast runner but they are faster and stronger than me. They grabbed me and took me to where no one would find me.

“What are you doing?” I ask, nervous and shuddering both inside and outside. I had no idea what they are going to do to me and I don’t want to know. So I close my eyes until it is over. Then…

I start hearing groans of pain I open my eyes slowly to see the silent boy beat his own friends up and for the first time since I’ve met him, he spoke.

“Do not do that to her again!” he yelled out as his friends scatter to their cars and drive off.

“Are you okay?” He asks giving me his hand. I could only nod a yes.

Checking to see if I was wounded, he smiled and said his name is Liam and I told him my name as well.

Liam, I liked the name very much. Now even though I am having a difficult time dreaming, I still remember his image and voice. I think I have fallen in love with him.

I haven’t seen Liam in weeks until when I went to the store, to buy some stuff for my mom.

“Hannah right?” He asks smiling. “Yes, Liam.” I reply smiling back, blushing inside.

We talked and talked and I almost forgot to pay for my mom’s things for dinner tonight. He offered to pay for it but I refused.

Outside waiting for my mom, he kissed me on the cheek before he went to his car.

I had never forgotten the kiss.

At night, after I did my school and dinner, Liam e-mailed me asking if I wanted to date him. My immediate answer is “yes”.

“So where do you want to go?” he asks. I told him I didn’t care where we go. We decided to go to his house to meet is family and hang out.

I had to go; Liam looked as if he wanted me to stay longer but knew I had to leave so he let me go.

Liam e-mailed me before I went to bed and said he will be my bodyguard, protecting me whenever someone tries to harm me. He ended the e-mail with “My lovely shy princess. Love Liam”

Shy Princess that is what he nicknamed me because I can be shy and I’m his princess.

As I wait for him, to come to my house, I got an e-mail from one of his friends who didn’t try and beat me up saying that Liam was in a terrible accident and he is dead.

I became depressed and cried, cried until I could hardly breathe. I loved Liam with all my heart. He was one of the best men in my father. The others include my true friends, my brother, my father, and the rest of my male relatives.

Even though I am having a hard time dreaming, I can still remember Liam’s voice, touch, eyes, and looks. He is always on my mind, I will never forget him, ever. Selena's Dreaming of you
