a dream

A DREAM (2)

A joy without end

And so cool a friend

Now to start a poem again

I met you, I can’t remember when.

Seems like you were always here

When I’m with you my worries disappear

Now I’ve nothing to fear

Your voice I long to hear.

We met and I knew

I had the feeling of butterflies

My legs felt like jelly

When I first saw your eyes.

I tried to hide my growing smile

And even harder to hide my face

Because every time I was around you at first

My face would turn red, as a strawberry on a cheesecake.

Even now I have the same feeling

When I am with you, I feel warm inside

Just my face and smile I no longer hide

My blushing hasn’t disappeared, outside is where it no longer resides.

Now I don’t have to try anymore

To force a conversation

Now when we’re next to each other

It doesn’t require contemplation.

Your company I enjoy it’s true

I’ve been really happy since I met you

And we’ve grown closer it seems

Sometimes I wonder is it all a dream.
