that's it summers over, no more sunbathing for us,

now the autumn on its way, bringing windy gusts,

nothing but showers for many hours,

soaking our plants and our flowers,

then in comes the winter with them days so cold,

ice and snow on the ground not good for the old,

shivers and shakes, wrapped in old blankets,

trying to keep warm, with a tea and a bisects,

oh them warmer days of spring is so near,

of tulips and buttercups and a lot of good cheer,

getting closer to the summer and swimming to do,

everything so hot even for me and for you,

now that year has come and now gone,

we all shall be singing the same old song,

thank you lord from your heavens above,

you gave us a year that we all love.
