about winter.

oh when the cold winter enters,

after the autumn of gold,

the snow doth lay,

keeping us so cold.

the icicles produce the rainbow,

that chills the children throat,

as they suck all the water out,

walking down the road.

the holy green with red berries,

feed the robins well,

the ivy hanging loosely,

making all look swell.

the snow is so crisp and white,

with footsteps all round tread,

the children on the hill side ,

sliding down on there sleds.

well Christmas is upon us,

and Santa's in his sleigh,

awaiting to give the presents,

to the children on Christmas day.

I love winter; autumn is a close second, then spring. Not that I don't like summer, but a little bit of sun (not that we get any over here in rainy ol' Éire) can't compare to the beauty of the cold, crisp mornings, sitting by the fire when it's dark and putting up the tree when the time comes.. Again, we don't get much, if any, snow here, but that couldn't take away from the magical time of year. It's, once again, simply put, and the rhyming didn't seem forced; you compare autumn and winter, but, to me, winter seems to have won out (good ol' winter :P) I really like this :)

thank you I am glad that I brought out your favourite part of the year for you, yes winter is lovely but to me autumn comes first for all its colour.
