What about the old, that live in the cold,
cant afford heating, no money for coal,
not much in the cupboard for eating today,
shopping money has to be put away,
they sit in there chairs all lonely and sad,
talking to nobody isn't this bad,
come on you neighbors don't leave us here,
its nearly Christmas again that's another year,
to sit all alone with no one to talk to,
feeling so low as we always do,
not enough money to go to the shops,
cant afford even a small pair of chops,
again no chicken for dinner we see,
this life can be so lonely,
as we sit in our rooms cold and old,
is there not someone who is bold,
a knock on the door to see if we are alright,
some food in your hand now that would be polite,
come on you young ones one day you will see,
when you reach to our age then you'll agree,
saying that when you were younger you should of helped,
we cant get your attention we cannot yell,
so we sit and we wait in the hope that some ones there,
to come and hug us and give us some care.

I firmly believe that the magic word is: SOLIDARITY
Here in South America there are people living on less than a dollar a day. Share brings blessings and makes us feel better. Excellent call for solidarity, Artie. Congratulations.
