Ashley Breston - ambitious, caustic, fiery - has it all planned out. And this involves in getting out of this backwater highschool and into an ivy league college. Then law school and becoming a top civil rights lawyer. Oh yes, she's got it all planned out - until something ancient and primevil shakes her matter-of-fact world. A throw back gene plays its tricks on her eighteen year old life - and she becomes a werewolf.

Jake Hammond prides himself on having no allegiances, no obligations and no particular aims. Talented, stubborn, restless and mocking he is a good-looking average high-schooler by day. A werewolf by night. Actively resisting the pull of human careers, his wolf-pack and his family, he already has enough on his plate.

Then he imprints on the very last wolf that he could have wanted.

An imprint is an unescapable bond - an inevitable compulsion - and Jake's life cannot remain stringless.

Will the threat of the wolf pack, the series of mysterious killings, or the fact that Ashley and Jake cannot stand eachother bring them closer? Or drive them forever apart?
