Midst the business of our lives, we have been missing out on the ordinary happiness of it. We have forgot the simple beauty of life in search of success. And so, here is a poem, beyond the reaches of human needs, and simply a soul-searching read.

JUST SOMEWHERE

Why won’t you, one day,

Lead yourself to just any place?

Step into an unknown carriage,

And travel along your fate.

Let it take you, to just anywhere.

Not to your city, not to your state,

But on an undecided trail.

Not for some humanly pleasure,

Or to accomplish a pending goal,

Not to earn the dollars or the pounds,

Or to conduct meeting and rounds.

But just to please the soul.

Why won’t you, one day

Let destiny guide you alone?

And this play of fate,

Won’t leave you a morbid day,

It will open a new gate,

To a life, surprising in every way.

You won’t end up with tourist plans,

Or won’t hang out with the usual clans.

You won’t have the pre-booked abode,

Or the usual butler, with his head bowed.

You may just have to walk down to the Big Ben,

And have nowhere to sleep at the chime of ten.

But you may end up at a beautiful valley,

Or bump into your old college crony.

You might meddle in a match of hockey,

Or spend an evening over tea with Granny.

No ideas what’s next, makes life the best.

So why won’t you, one day

Not take the usual right,

But turn to the left?

Why won’t you, one day,

Lead yourself to just any place?

Step into an unknown carriage,

And travel along your fate.
