An old friend of mine was joking around and said that no one had ever written her a song. Most people did silly songs like:

Monkey, Monkey
Swingin' from a tree
Monkey, Monkey
Loves you and me!

But this is mine.

When I look back through out
My long lost, far forgotten memories
My friends stand out beyond the rest
Homes fade from view; But you stay true

I remember the songs
I remember the laughs
I remember your smile
As I think on the past

Awana was fun
Memorizing God's scripture; It's true
The first Super Bowl I saw; With you
"Auburn Tigers" We'd shout,
Orange and Blue; The Tigers rule!

I remember the songs
I remember the laughs
I remember your smile
As I think on the past

Sliping and slidding on your green grass
Parents got together; I have no clue why
Soaking wet, sitting in your room
"This Kiss" you sang in karaoke

I remember the songs
I remember the laughs
I remember your smile
As I think on the past

Montgomery holds more memories
Than I once thought, I guess
If with such clarity I still see your face
Maybe regrets I still suppress

(Music)
I don't care for sports; But ask me my team
And "Auburn Tigers" I still shout
I look up the song; and nothing compares
Your voice I still hear, ringing about

I remember the songs
I remember the laughs
I remember your smile
As I think on the past

As I sort through the moments
When we saw each other
I realize something I never knew
And I still miss you
