Written from a third person pov about a hard time in my life

You want to live like there’s no gravity

Love without holding back

And embrace novelty

But then the speculators attack

Don’t let your mistakes define you

Your eyes are empty and cold

I know you’re more than what you have done

Seventeen isn’t old

They tear you apart and bury your dreams

But your eyes stay dry all the while

When your heart falls apart at the seams

You tie it all together with a smile

A jury of cynics and jerks

With nothing better to do

The verdict lurks

But you can’t let them scare you

“Cause one witness remains

And on the stand I’ll speak

About how you saved me from myself twice

And always loved
