Gazing from the gable window,

I was right in the heart of Lindow*.

The window pane I began to heave,

on the ocassion of new year's eve.

In haste and rarity my heart lurks,

for the glance of striking fireworks.

and then,

the countdown begins for the splendid sight,

as I awaited snooping for the stroke of the midnight.

Lastly my wait was finally over,

as I spent my time being a rover.

And then it shoots above the vale,

a subtle man-made comet trail.

Blessed to obtain the aged desire,

I was fortunate to see the flowers of fire.

then I received a call from a mate,

I was still busy to watch,

as the colours they illuminate.

Red and blue and yellow and green,

I was mesmerized as a charmed teen.

With that delightful memory my heart still perks,

the reminiscence of the sky filled with fireworks.
