Friend in my Heart Forever

  Now, I hate her.

More than the word hath meaning

  I see in her.

A mind so cunning

  divides her from her pain;

Haunting,

  Pushing her into a corner

 so deep and dark that

  even iceberg hearts

 all look the same.

  And yet, I love her.

As sister be sister

 in rain or sleet,

  and hearts bound once

 leaves strings until end.

The sight of her breaks me-

but heals me,

 and forever will be-

  My friend.
