I thought you’d always love me,

That love is nothing but debris,

We didn’t even have a chance to talk,

Like that day on the sidewalk,

Where you left me standing in the rain,

Feeling my heart consumed by pain,

Then a spark started to ignite,

Making fire burn to life,

Turning our love into madness,

Tears shedding from the sadness,

As our love slowly disintegrated and fell,

Turning into ashes just like Hell.

Melancholic Wisdom

Lovely poem, I especially enjoyed the last few lines, because those were powerful descriptions of a fading relationship. Fantastic work

Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed it. I tend to focus more on the romance genre but comments like this or critiquing, are always whats important to me. Love feedback. Thank you for reading and commenting. I have others if you want to checkout too, but totally up to you.
