my poem is about how running helps me deal with my issues.
I used intentional line breaks, repetition of imagery, and purposeful punctuation

I’m drowning in stress.

The goals get lost in my workload,

So does my motivation

But I’m drowning in sweat now.

The stress drains into a puddle that I ignore.

I’m drowning in anger.

It builds up and bubbles to the surface

I may snap soon.

But I’m drowning in sweat now.

My anger is power, which is what I lost In the first place.

I’m drowning in tears.

Feeling guilty because of my imperfections is a habit

I will never be as good as other people.

But I’m drowning in sweat now.

The tears are no longer from jealously but from pain.

I'm drowning in anxiety.

I’m forced into a dark place where panic lives

The “what if’s” don’t go away.

But I’m drowning in sweat now.

I’m forced into a place of acceptance .

I’m drowning in brokenness.

But I’m drowning in sweat now.

I’m healed by the pain the brokenness caused.
