What shall I do to grasp at the sky

to reach at whatever beyond the earth.

The moon and and the stars in the night

that brighten the dreams of hopeful closed eyes.

Grasping and holding so tight to a freedom

that lives just beyond my current grasp.

Loving the flight of the eagle purposefully lost in flight

the freedom of no assigned mission in sight.

Oh freedom let me grasp your wing of courage

let me ride it without a designed purpose.

Let me learn your freedom in your mission less flight

not knowing what direction is wrong or right.

Teach me that freedom is found high in the sky

not fearing whether I live or if I die.

Let me learn how to fly in a wind and bend and break

to its will and not worry just to live and feel.
