When the Nazis invaded our town
People hid without a sound
They swept in overnight
They caused nothing but fright
People prayed for them to leave
People jump to cover just a sneeze
The killers break into houses
Killing men and children and even their spouses
In the time of need no one is there
We walk around behind our walls with care
We go silent as our door busts in
I hold my screams of rage from within
Everyone’s frozen with fear
My mom’s kissing me and saying ‘I love you dear’
We all hold hands and wait for the time to come
Bombs explode rattling our house
We scurry around our walls like a mouse
People scream and bullets shoot
Looking out the window we see Nazis fall and give a hoot
The alliance has arrived and began the invasion
We cry and hold each other, happy from sensation
We’ll live another day we all fall to our knees and pray
We pray for the dead and the living
we’ll pray for the days and the nights continuing.
