This poem came to me when I read a poem in English. This poem reflects the human nature of lying and belittling. The person in this poem reflects on a lover that they once had and how they were hurt in every possible way and affected them to the point where they have lost all hope for the future.

Your body slips into slumber,
But you never really sleep,
You sit and stare and wait,
For the night to start its creep.

The darkness inside you heart,
Growing to corrupt your mind,
Your tears are forever,
You lose all sense of time.

Your head begins to wonder,
Your soul begins to explore,
What you feel and hide,
Whats behind every door.

Your throne of lies, it glistens,
Your lips taint with fear,
My soul pleading for salvation,
But you never really hear.

Close your eyes my darling,
For tomorrow is another day,
But deep inside you know,
That it will never be okay.
