I have had this idea in my head for a very long time. My only regret is that I didn't write it sooner. With that being said, I hope you enjoy my 2nd official short story :)

This seems like a good spot to rest for now. I figured I wouldn't be feeling so good after inhaling the exhaust fumes from that exploding vehicle. What was I thinking? I need to be more careful and stop being so reckless.

I looked down at my boots and examined the dried up blood that had taken over their original color. NO! They deserved to die. They were hunting me down. It would've either been me or them.

I have to calm down. Perhaps I'm getting too worked up over nothing. Besides, they're all already dead anyway. There's no point in dwelling in the past. I sat down in front the fire that I made and stared at the floating ashes as they ascended towards the darkness of the sky until I realized something. What if I'm not alone? And then I heard it: the sound of a stick breaking in half by a footstep.

With haste, I stood up with my automatic rifle and took cover behind a tree. I knew they would find me eventually, I just didn't know when. Sure enough, they began shooting at me and I, of course, began shooting back. My head is still foggy from the fumes that I accidentally inhaled. One can only wonder if I will make it out of this alive.

Tree bark flew everywhere with each bullet that struck my cover. I continued to return fire when suddenly, the ammo that I have, became the ammo that I had. Great, now my gun is as useless as I am. Wait a second. If I can play my cards right, I can get them to run out of ammo as well and then we will all be equal.

I looked over my shoulder to count how many of them there were. One, two, three... four, five... six... seven. Alright, I just have to take out 7 men single-handedly. No big deal.

"Stewart! Dinner's ready!" someone yelled.

That voice. Where did it come from? What am I doing? I need to stay focused here. I can't let anything get in the way of me getting rid of what's in my way.

I'll wait behind the tree for their ammunition to run out and then, I will kill them and send them back to the pits of hell where they came from. And so I waited... and waited... and waited... and waited. I expected that they would be moving around trying to find me by now. But no, they didn't. Instead they just kept shooting at the same damn tree.

The sun started arising. Daytime already? After looking down at my watch, I noticed that it has been an hour since the fight broke out. These guys are such... amateurs. I doubt they've even had half of the training that I've had in combat.

They don't know how to preserve ammo, they don't know how to aim. I bet they don't even know what reconnaissance is. I bet they've never even heard that word before in their entire life.

I waited a little while longer and then finally, I heard the noise that I've been waiting so long to hear. All of their guns; they all ran out of ammo. It all happened at the same time. My laughter threatened to burst out of my body and eventually, it did. I've never laughed so hard in my life!

"What are you laughing at you little faggot" said one of the men.

I continued to laugh even more. I just couldn't hold it in any longer.

"WHAT A BUNCH OF NOOBS" I yelled as loud as I could.

I jumped out from the tree that I was hiding behind, took out my knife and began to show these so-called men what real fighting is.

One of the men came at me with a knife, but simultaneously, I ran at him with an even bigger one and slit his throat open multiple times so that his death would be ensured.

"Stewart! Dinner is ready!" said the mysterious female voice.

I don't get it. There's nobody out here but us. Where could that voice possibly be coming from?

More of the men made their way towards me. I stabbed the second man in the lower stomach and traveled my knife all the way to his upper chest. I then took my knife out of him and repeatedly stabbed him in the face until my vision became covered with his blood.

The third man had a machete in his hand. He was quick, but I was quicker. He swung the knife at me as fast as he could. Just in time, I ducked down to dodge his attack and kicked his feet out from under him to bring him down to the blood-covered dirt.

I kicked his machete further away from him so that he could not pick it back up, jumped in the air and stabbed him in the chest as hard as I possibly could. My knife went so deep that it stabbed a hole into the ground beneath him.

After he began shaking violently, I walked over to where his machete was lying, picked it up and cut his head off. I saw the other four men start running away and threw the mans decapitated head in the garbage can as I began to run after them.

"Stewart! We're eating without you!" said the voice out of nowhere.

Ugh that voice again. If I hear it anymore I swear it's going to make me go insane. Who the hell's Stewart anyway? Agh whatever, it doesn't matter. I've got to hunt these guys down before they get away!

They are getting further and further away and are even running faster than I can. Good thing I have some leftover daggers. I aimed carefully and put one in the backs of all four men.

I walked to each wounded man and slit all of their throats with the machete.

"STEWART!" my mother yelled while barging in through the door. "I told you three times that dinner is ready!"

"Ok mom I'm coming! Sheesh! Gotta go guys," I said before taking off my headset.

I stood up and paused the game.
