I suppose this poem came from all the anger, at most times exaggerated, that I feel when someone lies to me or declares that I am lying.

I could have lied
in all the moments we shared
I could have died
all the times we had to fight

I could have cried
if you decided  to leave
I could just hide
from all the pain

So when you're standing there yelling
All smart and proud
I hope you remember and remember well
That I could have lied
