The Angels Of Twins

Screams, sobs, scents of fire.  Panic, distress, the need for help was urgent and dire.

An event that so tragic, you could hear the angels cry. A sight so ravage, it’s unable to be viewed by the innocent eye.

Virtue, a much needed trait now absent from mind. Race and gender both left behind the American spirit is what now had us bind.

Instantly, the innocent internally blinded just by gaze. As the heavy smoke polluted the air in a devilish haze.

People fled, people ran, but such a sight any mortal mind was unable to foil. The memory of this event, many tried to omit but to the American way the human mind, was much to loyal.

Tears, sobs, cries, O they came in plenty.  But the tears were soon dried by a possession much more costly than a Bentley.

Minds across the nation connected by a force much to hungry to kill.  Vengeance drove thy minds, oh the blood that would spill.

With help drawn and minds fixed, corrupt amends are about to be healed.  As the transformation has begun of a nation from a playground to a shield.

Courage refunded and weapons in hand. Innocence, now a luxury, stripped from all that stand.

Pride and glory embodied from coast to coast.  A remorseless event now to take place, and Iraq is the host.

Souls, once so militantly stolen from an occasion that quaked the distant heaven. Forgotten you are not, but peacefully you may rest, victims of Nine eleven.

This poem is dedicated to any one effected by the tragic event of 9/11. You may be gone, but you are never forgotten. Rest in peace.
