i breathe in life,

i take my first step,

i'm on my own now,

so i am weary,

and attentive to the details of everything around me,

this new beginning,

this rebirth of innocence,

is all i had wanted,

and as of yet nothing,

it's what i decide,

how i create it,

so much potential,

so much responsibility,

and here we are,

a choice,

a consequence,

i've chosen poorly,

now i must suffer,

it's been so long since i've felt this way,

and my tears are like a flood,

it feels as if my whole world is crashing down,

but it's just my walls,

now that i've been punished,

the stain of sin is gone,

so i can go on like nothing happened,

and though i make it through,

i still remember my walls caving in,

now i'm left bare,

here we are again,

a choice,

a consequence,

i can't learn my lesson,

so i must suffer.
