What if a written word could actively talk to you, as you read through it?

Of the multitudes of faceless people

And trains of unfocussed thought

Of great, legendary minds

And greater ideas begot,

Of the millions that choose

To pick a piece of another mind,

It is you who chose to indulge me;

I am your find!

How scintillating the contact

With a working, wired brain!

How wonderful to awaken

From the routine and the mundane!

Do you feel me

As I reach out to you

Across space and time?

As I embrace your consciousness;

Take hold of you,

And for that fraction of an era

Make you truly mine!

Do I induce wonder?

Perhaps you are bemused!

Do you feel scorn, pity, curiosity?

Are you, maybe, confused?

Pardon me! For I don’t mean

To entertain or amuse!

I am, but a train of thought,

A firing of someone’s neurons –

And if I’ve set an impulse to yours,

Then I’ve been put to good use!

As your eyes caress

My last few words,

I think it’s time to say –

Reader! I wish you well,

And take your leave

If I may.
