Its a quarter past one.
As i sit here alone.
Thinking about what ive done.
Waiting to be shone.
I here your voice in every dream.
I smell your sent in every room.
But nothing here is as it seems.
Not a dream but certain doom.
I still yet long to see your face.
To speak the words i mean to say.
To feel the warmth of your embrace.
To have you here 'til my last day.
I sit and wait, wishing you to be here.
Tho i know i cannot change the way of fate.
I still cannot contain this expanding fear.
That u might come, a little too late.
I am not gorgeous nor am i fine.
All the imperfections you see are mine.
I cannot cook nor can i sew.
I cannot sing neither high nor low.
But as i sit here, unable to stand.
i ask you now of one small wish.
To take me as i am.
