Only numbness now,

feel no pain,

will no longer plead--

for the mercy;

that will not be given--

hope here is gone;

All in despair, looking out with an empty stare,

mind speaks unholy thoughts;

mouth keeps silent;

for the fear of being killed--

being murdered at the hands of hypocrites.

Dark room;

harsh intent--

treated only as inanimated objects;

not seen--

not heard--

not in the cruelty of this place;

this evil, evil place;

Only questions fill the air now;

left curious and wondering..

What will happen to us?

What will happen to her?

Death stares me in the face;

A dirty reflection looks back at me..

as if I know what to do;

time goes by;

and I can only tell day from night..

by moon or daylight;

these dirty clothes we wear..;

were stripped from the deceased;

Bunkers are crowded;

filled with people in agonizing pain;

Its hard to sleep..

When all you hear are their moaning cries..

Soldiers don't feel our pain;

Acting on what they're told;

Yelling cruel names..

senseless beatings bring heavy tears;

But here..--

We're not allowed to feel.
