Houses trimmed in bright twinkling lights;

like stars that shine on crisp winter nights.

Star topped trees, with bulbs and glitter;

Young hearts anxious;mind’s a twitter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mantles draped in fir garlands green.
Bright red bows, complete the scene.
Stockings with embroidered names;
above the fireplace; of dancing flames.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ribbons and bows; on wrappings tied;

snowflakes falling on ground outside.

Yule time carols both played and sung;

Couples kiss under the mistletoe hung.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Candy canes, fruit; hazel nuts galore;
Poinsettia’s in pots sitting by the door.
Smell of fresh baked cookies fill the air;
Plating some up for Santa to share.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Then children sleep tight in their beds;

Dreams of toys dance in their heads.

In morning they rise; race down to the tree;

surprises they find; shouting out in glee

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Santa has been there; he heard everyone’s wish;
eating the cookies carefully placed in the dish.
Santa did well pleasing the kids on this day;
Delivering toys with his reindeer and sleigh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From my family to yours I wish you happiness and cheer;

to all my friends at booksie, whom I hold special and dear.

This little poem my present to you, I hope it brings smiles;

My way of saying thank you to friends across many miles!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY BOOKSIE FRIENDS!
