Gypsy Rose was her name; reading palms her game
looking at an upturned hand; she his fortune told.
“You'll live long;have lots of sex; and also great fame."
Rose held forth her upturned hand; for a piece of gold.
When cops knocked on her door; she denied the claim;
“I just told him what I saw sir; that's not a crime.”
The men in blue disbelieved; her argument was so lame.
In handcuffs they led her out; poor Rose would do time.
The man died within two days; without acheiving fame
Having sex three times a day; the old worn ticker died.
His wife was quite upset; on Rose she placed blame;
"He damned near killed me too!" The poor old woman cried.
The moral to this simple rhyme; don’t ever say "have lots of sex" when reading the palm of an old man with a bad heart.
