Mountains are the oldest monuments of earth. Born from sea's eruptions; they hold secrets we have yet to learn.

Stone that saw the dawn of time;

monuments carved out from sea.

Reaching upward; so sublime;

peaks capped in white symmetry.

~~~~~
Oh mountains distant of purple hue;
amid clouds loftily surrounding you.
Holding secrets from long past ages;
secrets of ancient primal sages.
~~~~~

If could speak; what truths to learn;

of earth’s  history discern.

Rock cast thy shadows on the land;

bearing witness to all God planned.

~~~~~
Noble giants keep watch ore earth;
recording ages of rebirth.
When we cease to be; long are gone;
Mountains regal watch will carry on.
If mountains had a voice they would thank you from the bottom of their stony hearts!
This gets a vote/like from me.
Oh but the mountains do speak! They do not need mouths of their own when they can speak clearly through those who choose to listen and record what they hear.
This poem is one such voice born of your hand
Like this, love mountians
If I could, I'd shout, "Excellent poem, excellent poem here!" from a mountain top!
