There once was a woman named Sadie;

Some say she was wicked and shady.

Bars were her thing; a drinker was she;

She would ask for two shots of whiskey.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On tables she’d climb to dance for the guys;
looking down with her emerald green eyes.
whispered the women their utter revulsion;
toward young Sadie's unbridled compulsion,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

to drink and to curse; like a sailor on leave.

Flirt without shame; her words to deceive.

Clever dear Sadie; her beauty she'd use;

so charming; with her wit would amuse.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then came a man; who’d tame the redhead;
by changing her ways; to his liking instead.
From the bar the gent took the wild Sadie;
hell bent he'd turn her into a young lady.
Missed at the bars; men wept in their beer;
but the gossips in town; shed nary one tear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now Sadie's at home with her two little tikes;

strong whiskey and dance; no longer her likes.

She nibbles sweet cake; while sipping her tea.

A proper lady is she; sweet Sadie McGee!
