The 100 Year Old Mirror

“Mirror Mirror on thy wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Mirror Mirror on thy wall, who’s the fairest of them all!?” The lady yelled louder and repeated herself over again until the mirror answered her. Who’s the lady you ask? I can’t tell you at this moment, but you will find out sooner or later. All I can tell you is that she couldn’t stand children. Not even her own daughter, did she care about. Before you get confused, let me begin the story from 3 years ago.
September 9, 1999 Mahlia and Alyssa were best friends. They knew each other since they were babies and grew up together. A few years after they were born, Alyssa’s parents were killed by some type of mirror, and Mahlia’s parents took care of her ever since.
While walking home there was somebody following behind them. When Mahlia and Alyssa noticed they were being followed they tried walking faster, but that did not seem to work. After 5 minutes, we turned around but she was not there. We continued walking thinking she was gone but she popped up in front of us asking questions. As she was asking questions, Alyssa saw that the crazy lady had some similarities as Mahlia. “Who’s you mother child?” The lady asked. “Why?! Who are you?” Mahlia retorted. And the lady ran away before she could answer Mahlia’s question.
Mahlia and Alyssa ran home as fast as they could before the lady could come back. As they got into the house the mother was wondering why they were out of breath. A few minutes passed and the girls told the mother what happened. “There was this crazy lady who came up to us asking questions about you. We were scared and didn’t know what to do. She said something about a mirror too. ” The mother had an expression on her face as if she knew what the girls were talking about. “Go upstairs and do your homework.” The mother said. Mahlia and Alyssa ran up to their rooms, while the mother was pacing back and forth. After they ate dinner the mother told them a story that happened long ago and how Alyssa’s parents ended up dead. “Well girls, that crazy lady is my sister.
Now before you say anything else let me finish the story. Long ago, our mother chose who shall take the magic mirror and have control over the country and keeping the people safe. Now, as you can see, mother chose me and my sister did not like that.” “But why does she look like that, and you don’t?” Alyssa asked. “Well sweetheart, that’s where you parents come in. While my mother and I were sleeping, my sister decided to come in and take my mirror. But since the mirror was already assigned to me, it will not work if the wrong hands touch it. And if you were to touch it, something bad will happen. My sister began getting electrocuted, but the electricity didn’t kill her, yet it made her ugly, mean, fat, short, and she then hated everyone that was my age at the time or younger. She ran away that night and killed anyone that was close to this family, which were your mother and father. She died a couple years later, but then she came back to life, to get her revenge.” The girls started to look confused, but were tired. “We will continue this story tomorrow. Go on to bed.” Said the mother.
The next day while coming back from school, Alyssa and Mahlia saw the crazy lady go into this old abandoned house. They then followed her, and when they walked up to the door SCREEEEEE! The door opened up on its own. “I’m surprised your aunt didn’t hear that.” Alyssa said Laughing. “Shhhh” Mahlia whispered. “We can’t get noticed. Or we will get in trouble.” They began walking upstairs when Mahlia saw a shadow walk across the hall. “We should follow that shadow! “Alyssa said excitedly. “Are you nuts? We don’t know what this lady is capable of.” Mahlia replied. Afterwards Alyssa convinced Mahlia to go follow the shadow, and they came up to a door. We slightly opened it, and saw the lady doing some type of spell on a mirror. She was yelling “Mirror Mirror, on the wall who’s the fairest of them all. If you don’t like me, I don’t care. I’m not here to satisfy anyone. Anywhere.” Alyssa and Mahlia were scared, and hurried out the door to tell the mother what happen. When they got to their house, the mother did not look the same. She looked exactly like the crazy lady in the abandoned house. “You children disgust me, get out of my way. I need that mirror!” The girls watched as the mother had ran to the abandoned house, and they followed. When they walked into the old house again they observed the house a little more. They noticed on the walls were painting of all the people in the family that had the mirror. Once they got to the end of the hall, they saw a huge frame and it said Elizabeth Lopez. Mahlia began reading the description under the painting. “Born February 16, 1894 – March 3, 1994. Founder of the magic mirror, and shall never be broken unless the mirror has fallen into the wrong hands. If broken, the family generation will die. But it can be put back together by the chosen person. Then the generation of the magic mirror can continue on.”
BOOM! Mahlia and Alyssa were startled, and ran to the room where they heard the noise. The two sisters were fighting, and they started to become weaker and weaker because the mirror was starting to crack. Mahlia then fell to the ground and so did the sisters. The mirror was broken. And so was the family generation. It was over. Alyssa was the only one left living. What could she do? Was she the chosen one to be able to bring back the family generation? The house was starting to fall apart, so Alyssa grabbed the pieces of the mirror and ran outside. BOOM! The house had fallen. Now it was just Alyssa, the broken mirror, and nature. The one question she asked herself, Was she ever going to see Mahlia again? And Alyssa began putting the mirror back together.
