An angry, but humorous, piece dedicated to the classic writer Franz Kafka. A short, poetic expression of my feelings after reading his work "The Metamorphosis" and related essays.

When I go back in time and kill Kafka
The whole world will rejoice
That someone has finally figured out
A way to drown the annoying voice.

No more Metamorphosis lingering
Studied by boring souls
droning on about the real meaning
or significance of specific roles

When I go back in time and kill Kafka
my eyes will finally stop bleeding
my soul will feel no more torment
from the old, worthless reading.

All those professors will be down and out
Finally coming to the understanding
It's so obvious what it's all about
Even without their intellectual pandering.

When I go back in time and kill Kafka
The whole world will rejoice
That someone has finally figured out
A way to drown the annoying voice.
