The velvet sheet of darkening night
Spreads along like some unlocked craving
I walk alone …. in a monochrome.
Decaying fast and dying slowly
On a fading road composed of stones.
Your thoughts touch my shivering hands
And gather moonbeams in the sand
Like pilgrims, they come and depart
Leaving holy kisses on my heart
To bind its trembling, smoked up pieces
In a dreamily scented breath of dark.
So I measure distance in terms of hours
And hours in terms of distance…
I knot them both in wisps of grey
And proceed towards a dateless day
