In the village, you do everything exactly as the government tells you, and that's the way it has been forever. After your sixteenth birthday, you are assigned a job, and you are assigned a partner, your future spouse, and that's that. And everyone is content. Everyone is good. Everyone does the right thing. But everyone is emotionless. Everyone doesn't think. Everyone just blindly follows the government like a herd of sheep following a shepherd.

Abriella just turned sixteen. Her rebellious friend, Damien, is feeding her more and more doubts about the unquestioned, systematic way the government runs the village. And the family of her assigned partner doesn't fit any of her expectations, and seem to be breaking more of the government's regulations than Damien would even dream of breaking. And they seem to be drawing her in, entrancing her in a spell of emotion and life. Maybe Bri is starting to defy the government so she can also have these emotions. Maybe she is starting to have feelings for her assigned partner, Ty. But where does that leave Damien? Where does it leave her?

Sorry if it takes a while to get the whole story up. I've been writing this story out-of-order, and I don't have all that much time to write.
