I wrote this poem for a very special fan and friend as a thank you for all her unwavering support and kindness. Susan this one is for you. You really liked "Autumn Day" so i wrote this poem for you about the black hole. Since you like metaphors and symbolism i decided to give you something similar to "Autumn Day" I hope you like it.
I JUST WANT ALL MY READERS TO KNOW THAT THE BLACK HOLE IS NOT A REFLECTION ON SUSAN AS A PERSON. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE POEMS AND I WANTED TO DEDICATE IT TO SOMEONE WHO MEANS A LOT TO ME.

A million  miles a thousand stars,

an endless void, barren and sparse,

beyond the Sun the bleakness gapes,

for life it bleeds, for light it waits.

And far away a shooting star,

rips through the sky a burning scar,

a distant comet forlorn and lost,

watches on as time unfolds.

If one but travels beyond the skies,

and pierces through the darkest nights,

the edge of time awaits such a fool,

for gnawing silence here doth rule.

This edge of time is where it lies,

Alone, unwanted in anguish it cries,

lustilly grabbing at anything within its reach,

trying to feed off life just  like a leech.

But nothing assuages its hunger and thirst,

its doomed for an eternity, it is but cursed,

it's lived for eons without a mate,

it has been trapped on one side of an open gate.

Edging forward in hopeless disarray,

searching anxiously it shifts and sways,

towards those distant stars it strays,

for it has found a place to stay.

As it nears those distant stars,

it shrieks with joy, unbridled, unscarred,

but all it recieves in unjust reward,

is fear, abuse and curses galore.

Still it enters their twinkling shoal,

they shriek with fright  "BLACK HOLE! BLACK HOLE!"

in its jubilation it has gone deaf,

it does not hear their cries of death.
